The nearest town was nearly thirty miles away, and with the super highway now in place, most people who were traveling tended to stay in the more modernized and larger Motels/Hotels in the city. Paul knew that he was going to have to come up with something fast or the Motel would soon go under, and he'd be left standing with an abandoned and totally worthless piece of property. The grill, which stood adjacent to his Motel, had gone out of business and closed over a year ago as it was. And now, the Diamond Motel was in danger of having the same thing happening to it. In a last desperate act, Paul had invested every last dollar he had in modernizing, improving, and repairing the Motel from the long hard years of neglect and near abandonment. With what little he had left after that, he'd advertised in every City paper available, and even bought a few radio spots in hopes of reaching the public with his new idea, and hopefully drawing them back to what then had become, The Ecstasy Motel.
